From the Bull's Pen

John asked me if I would like to write the Bull Pen this time. He knows that so much has been happening in my life and those 25,000 words a woman needs to say everyday were exploding.

A few months ago, Billie Jean Graham asked me to help with the Founders Day Luncheon for the Salvation Army Auxiliary. You can't tell her "No", so I said, "Sure", and the rest is history. There is a lot that happened between "sure" and "history".

The Lord laid it on my heart, I think about November, that I should ask Pam Tebow to speak. She is the proud mother of five beautiful children and the mother of Tim Tebow, the stellar athlete for the Florida Gators. We had nailed down the date of the luncheon for Mach 31, 2010. Soon after, the huge controversy came about Pam and Tim's commercial during the Super Bowl for Pro Life and Focus on the Family.

The media went crazy and once again, what man meant for evil, God used for good! There were millions of hits on the internet after the commercial was aired. Her message and the Lord's message was sent out! Her story in brief - (if you want the entire sotry go on the internet to Focus on the Family) doctors wanted her to abort her pregnancy due to complications, but she and her godly husband had prayed for this baby and knew it was God's will for him to live as well as all babies. The testimony of this family is too much to be told in this small paper - it would take volumes.

When Pam came to speak for us I knew she would touch many lives, but never knew how much shoe would touch mine. This delicate (tiny) rose opened into a stick of dynamite. I was immediately drawn to her being so real and I knew of our similarities, as far as football being a platform the Lord has given us. I knew of the zeal our husbands have for spreading the Gospel, but I had no idea how she would impact my life and so many others.

As she stood before 475 men and women and shared her message you could hear a pin drop. Her message on influence touched everyone in that room. She impacted and touched on every age in her message. In only two days, I felt like I had known her for twenty years. So much she shared keeps coming back to me. She is the kind of friend you want to keep close, but I feel privileged for the one on one time we shared.

I kept an article from our paper for her on Timmy titled "Lasting Impact". He certainly has made an impact on America, but that can be said about Pam. I can tell you she is a "Lasting Influence" on my life and many.

I could not wait to start thinking how I want her back. I have begun parying and planning a women's conference with Pam within the next year. Thank you, Pam Tebow, for touching my life and so many others. You were cerainly sent here for "such a time as this." We continue to pray for this incredible minsitry that the Lord has given to Bob and Pam Tebow and their wonderful family.

Love Always, Nancy
